Carla brings over twelve years of experience in financial consulting, underwriting, marketing, and business development from her previous positions in banking and other community microlenders. In her career, she has coordinated training events, conducted one-on-one consulting with business owners, and evaluated the financial health of small businesses in the region. Carla is a small business owner and has her own wedding officiant company. She also has a tax preparation license, notary public license, and a Business Administration bachelor’s degree from California State University, San Bernardino.
How I Add Value to your Business:
Carla has spent most of her career partnering with mission driven, non-profit technical assistance and microfinance organizations to create economic opportunity for start-up and existing business owners who lack access to traditional credit. Her passion and knowledge for small business started in 2007 as an intern at the Women’s Business Center. Throughout the years, she has assisted small businesses in creating business plans, reviewing projections, completing loan applications, and analyzing the overall financial health of businesses through taxes, interim financial, and personal financial statements. She has also been a chairperson at the Microenterprise Collaborative of Inland Southern California and continues to support the State Guaranty program as a committee member who reviews financial packages for approval.
